Help! Broken leg
I found my button Silver with her head stuck between two of the top bars. I freed her but her leg is stiff and stuck out behind her, like its broken or she ripped it out of its socket while flailing around. I've moved her into her own cage separate from the other buttons but I don't know what to... -

Crayola markers safe?
I need to make a mark on each of my lutino budgies so I don't mix them up, and I use food colring which I know is 100% safe but I don't know where the food coloring is and my mom is asleep so i can't ask her. Egg shells.. replace every day?
I put a bowl of egg shells in for my buttons and budgies and it lasts at least 3 days, but I'm not sure if I shold be throwing out what they haven't eaten everyday and replacing it with fresh egg shell? Does it spoil? Does egg shell work as grit? And you know how when you peel the egg shell off... -

Its 10 ft x 10 ft x 6 ft (the 6 ft is how tall). How many chickens can it comfortably fit? They won't be in there 24/7, they'll have probably at least 2-4 hours a day out in the yard and indoors.- Mikhail

Are there predators to goats?
I don't have any goats, but was wondering whether there are animals (like foxes, raccoons, or birds of prey) who will kill pygmy goats? Usually I see people free ranging their goats, so I figure there must not be any danger in it?- Mikhail

Grit questions
Are you supposed to just keep a small dish of grit in the cage always? Will they know not to eat too much? What does grit look like, small pebbles? And where can you buy it? Is there any at Walmart? -

Help! Males hurting female
My 2 male buttons were chasing one of my females around and I saw that all the feathers were picked off her lower back. She's completely bald there, although I don't think she's bleeding (she was moving too fast to tell for sure). I think there was a tiny dot of bleed near her beak though... -

Dog food instead of cat food?
All cat foods have taurine in them (without taurine cats have heart problems) so wouldn't a lot of taurine be bad for quail? Shouldn't people be feeding dog food to quail instead since not all dog food has taurine in it? -

Just in case I ever get baby buttons I wanted to research on how to take care of them. Is it similar to taking care of a baby chick or duckling? For the heat lamp, how many watts should it be? I can't keep them in a wire cage, can I? (how small of a bar spacing could they slip out of?)... -
Buttons bathing in water?
Some of mine like to bathe in their water dish when its hot in the house (its not deep enough to drown in). Is that okay? They're pretty wet afterwards and i'm not sure if that's good for their feathers? They don't have any natural oils in their feathers or anything like that, do they? -
