Just a quick question from all you lovely experts... I have some beautiful cream crested legbars which I brought a few months ago and they had bright yellow legs but now they lost all that yellow colour and are like pink and faintly light yellow colour.
Is there a way I can brighten their feet...

I have 10, 7 and half month old speckled sussex. Their combs are dark red the cock is also tedding them well but they just don't seem to lay any eggs. What could be wrong? I also have light on in the coop as their is only 11 hours of sunlight.
Hi, has anyone use the 1ft tube heater as a brooder. The red heat bulbs sometimes burn out killing the chicks.
I was thinking of putting a red led light bulb in the brooder and using a 1ft tube heater as electric hen.

I have a chicken run on dirt which has a roof on it...I wanted to put some hay in my run and start a deep litter method... will it start stinking over time or would it stay dry?... I just wanted something for my birds to peck and scratch at. .

My quails have started to hatch in my brinsea 20 incubator. I have around 45 jumbo jap quail eggs in their. 15 have hatched since morning. Should it be ok to open the incubator to remove empty shells. Its getting cramped in their.
Somebody has told me dry incubation works best with quail eggs. He told me he doesn't add any water during incubation, he doesn't need any humidity. What are your thoughts?
Brought a brinsea 20 auto turning incubator...really impressed so far. ESPECIALLY temp control..... got 10 cream legbar eggs in their and 3 light sussex crossed with hybrid egg layings warrens.... expecteng few lovely mutts.

brought a brinsea octagon 20... I have placed 10 cream legbar eggs yesteray. I noticed tem fluctuating today.... when cradle tilts eggs farward temp goes up to 40c and when it goes back to normal temp goes to 38c. Anyone know how I can stabalise the tempreture....?

Hi, I have pure breed light sussex white and black cockral and his treading my warrens vey well indeed and a blue spalsh leghorn cockral who's also treading my warren hens vey actively. If I incubate their eggs... what kind of cocks and hens would I get.... is it a good idea to incubate them or not?
