    Infected cere

My broody hatched a single chick that at about one week old the cere became infected. I'm not sure if there was an injury, I could not see it if there was. I treated the infection and a scab developed. I left the scab alone to fall off on its own but when it did I noticed the top beak was...

    Incubating Question?

I have eggs from two different breeders and want to know witch chicks came from what source. Any ideas on how to keep hatch lings on their side of the incubator. I just have one incubator. I thought that dividing with rabbit wire would work. Any suggestions?

    peewee eggs

My BR pullet started to lay 5 days ago. Three eggs so far but they all are between 38 and 40 grams. I have had a small egg ever so often but never repeatedly from the same pullet. Is this cause for alarm or just the difference from bird to bird? Are these eggs ok to eat?

    Broody Hen

I have 4 laying hens and my red sex link is acting broody. I also have 10 week olds that include 2 cockerels one of which just started crowing. Did the crowing cause Henny Penny to act broody? I feel so bad for her. I don't have fertile eggs to give her yet.
