Hi
I was wondering if there is any difference in the adult females when one baby is a little darker than the other? One of mine is darker and has a little smudge of color one her beak.
I have 5 little Sebright Americana mix eggs in the incubator. Does anyone have Sebright mix babies? I wondering what they will turn out to look like!
Also, does anyone know if the is a mixed breed thread for showing off your mixes?
I have chickens and am about to get 2 goslings will they get along okay free ranging in the same 1/2 acre? I also have dogs that come down and check on the chickens with me. If the geese are raised with the dogs around will they be okay with it?
I went to check on the eggs ( that I thought were duds!) and one is starting to hatch! I don't know what to do! I leave him in the bator over night or what? What if he's the only one that hatches? I'm so excited! AAAAAAAH!
I'm pretty sure my eggs aren't going to hatch. I'm very bummed out. I have been candling them and there are no veins or dark spots. One even has the red ring thing. I wonder what I did wrong? Bummer, bummer, bummer.
I have tons of blackberry vines and would like something to eat them and keep them under control. What are my choices? Also, does anyone know if geese will keep the grass eaten down? With the price of gas these days ... I can't afford to run the lawn mower.
Thanks!
I want to try my hand at incubating some eggs and a co-worker has some chickens (Australorps I think) and a bantam rooster. He doesn't think the eggs are fertile because the rooster is so much smaller than the hens but I thought it might be fun to give it a try. This will be my very first...
