Why?? He ripped off her entire tail, all but one feather, and her entire rump is bloody. I seperated her from the flock. Will she ever heal? Will she grow back her tail?? (If she lives).

Hi All.... I searched this sight for a situation that resembles mine... and I got some answers. But I just want to clarify it before I go and do something and regret it later.
I have 3 sets of chickens right now. I have three 1 year olds, (Orpingtons),who are outside with my three 1 year old...
These little babies are about 4-5 weeks old. When I bought them, I was told they are assorted Reds. The darker one, I was told is a rooster. I am just wondering why all the girls are not turning more red, and look like Orpingtons
Will they eventually change too? Or did I just get Orpingtons?
