    We bought 3 straight run Chinese, hoping we'd get at least 2 hens. Of course, we got a pair of ganders and a hen. They bonded to me and love people. I hate to part with them. But for the sake of my one hen! We already had a pair of ganders to start with! Chicago area.

    African geese and winter temps

    I have a goose shelter that closes, like a mini barn, for my 2 young geese. It's their first winter. It's down to 0° F here. Last night I kept them with a heater since it was very cold. How cold can they tolerate without a heat source? Thanks.

    We have had a mature hen and a pullet drop dead within 24 hours of eachother, without injury. We have 20 chickens. They free range. The polish pullet was isolated. The mature comet was free range. What to do?

    Bulldog and Geese

    Can you train Geese not to be aggressive toward your dog? My dog is a 95 lb bulldog, and she is an angel with them. They peck and tug on her and she just lets them. She seems to want to socialize with them, even "giving paw" to them. Any tips how to make them friendly?

    Their feet are so different and their size difference is substantial. They are from the same tub from Big R in Wyoming labeled African Goose. Thoughts?

    New Member here. Chickens and African geese.

    Hi, I live in the Northwest suburbs Illinois. We have up to 20 chickens for laying, and 2 new African goslings. I am new to the geese and hope to learn a lot here! Michal
