Can I relocate a sitting hen?

We gave up trying to "break" our broody hen. So instead of letting her sit on nothing, in the middle of the coop, right in the middle of the coop, I picked her up and put her on two freshly laid eggs(we have have two other hens). Well she somehow moved the eggs back to the middle. Can a...

    No Moe Chickens!

I just got off the phone sharing my excitement over getting three new hens. My mother gave me a suggestion for their names: "EENY, MEENY, and MINEY." "But, mom, there's no MOE." "Exactly" she replied and "And there shouldn't be."

Aren't chickens supposed to LIKE worms?

My chickens don't eat worms! I can't believe it. We will even bring worms right over to them and- nope...they're not interested. Anyone else have worm hatin' chickens?

    hen sitting on empty nest

The next day she sat on one egg for half a day, so again I took the egg. Last night I noticed that she was sitting in the nest and she is still there...

Where do roos go to die?

I have a missing rooster and I am holding out hope that he passed on his own(-since I have no idea how old he is). Or do they run off sometimes and come back a few days later? I don't want to think about what probably really happened...Is there a chance he's just out and about down the road?

    Old rooster meets young hens...

Just curious...I recently bought two pullets-they are 5-maybe 6 months old. They are not laying yet. So, my question is ...How long should I wait until I put them in with my rooster? He is at least two years old. They had a meet and greet today and he wasn't being aggressive....but the hens ...

    Lonely Rooster

We have "adopted" a lone rooster. He is beautiful! I think he might be a Leghorn- but he doesn't have white earlobes... So maybe he's mixed with a Long Island Red...I don't know but, to me, he is the epitome of CHICKEN. My question is- Should we get him a couple of hens? Is he truly lonely? I...
