Black dots on Silkie chicken's comb
Hi BYC, So my Silkie Rooster has some little black dots on his comb (none on waddles). I don't see them anywhere else so far. We tried wiping it with warm water and nothing really came off, just a little bit of brown on the cloth. We tried scraping a little with my thumb nail and maybe a...- lolos

Narangensett poult being a PECKER
Hi everyone, So we got two Blue Slate turkey poults and two Narangensetts (we plan to process them, just wanted to start small). These guys are just three days old, and I saw one of the narangensetts peck one of the blue slates in the EYEBALL. He got both eyelids and the poor guy can't hardly... -

New duck owners, wanting geese and chickens too!

New Duck Disease?
I have an Appleyard duckling and a Blue Swedish duckling. I had three others but they all died very suddenly. Got a necropsy done and the suspicion is New Duck Disease. The vet wants to have some cultures grown and antibiotics tested but it is expensive. The Blue Swedish is pretty healthy... -
