UPDATE: pic posted below!
She has bumblefoot. Leg and foot is swollen and warm. Last 2 days I have soaked in epsom salt and wrapped with vet wrap and antibiotics spray/ointment. She is eating and drinking like normal.
What else should I do other than vet call.

We have 3 babies around 7-8 weeks of age and wondering how to get them introduced without the drakes going nuts on them. Anytime they are in the yard together the drakes make a beeline and start trying to breed them aggressively. We have to let them out at different times because I worry the...
Our baby duck was attacked by a coon and is doing fantastic. Only issue we are having is she will trip over her broken wing once in awhile when we take it out of the wrap to give her a rest. My guess is the wing will always hang. Will she be able to do ok with this?
One of our ducks has decided to lay eggs in our yard instead of her house. This is a 3 part question :)
Do they have to sit on them all day in order to hatch? She keeps adding to the pile and does not sit on them very much at all.
She is just a year old (Drake is also a year old), is this to...
We are not looking to hatch any eggs. I am wondering if there is any other reason to have a drake in the flock? The reason I ask is because I’m getting tired of the aggressiveness of our drakes, They got a hold of one of our four week old ducklings and beat it up. I do notice they seem to be on...
I was not with to pick up these 3 hens. Lady told me the coloring was chocolate, lilac, blue/lavender. I am not looking to breed these ducks but still want the color to be standard for the breed. Is that all yellow duck not gonna be all white?
I am torn on what breed to add the our small flock. Right now we have Ancona's and a Cayuga. In the past we have also had Appleyards and Welsh Harlequins. These are my kids (11 & 12) ducks and they take care of them. So we are looking for ducks that are friendly and lay a good amount of eggs...
I posted about my Muscovy being aggressive. I was told they were hens when I got them as chicks. They were born around June 28. I am new to this duck breed. I posted on this forum and people are saying they look like a drake. Posting to see what others think. If they are a drink we have way too...
This is my first time owning this breed. We have two of them and the lady said they were both females. The one is so aggressive and is attacking our other ducks. She acts like she is trying to mate with them. She is just an all around bully...will chase them away from food/water. Any thoughts on...
My Muscovy's are getting up on our deck and pooping all over . This is the first time owning this breed. They are so far my fav we have ever owned.....BUT....this getting on the deck might be a deal breaker for me. Anyone know how to stop this behavior? (I know I can keep them penned and I have...
We have wrapped our Muscovy hens wings (she is around 9 weeks old). With the suggested wrap that is a “sticky thread”. For some reason it is not working for our hen. They both drop down to the ground and the one is curled pretty bad. I feel like they are getting worse. What would be the next...
What percent protein do you feed your Muscovy's? I am new to this breed and my one is getting angel wings. I have never had this issue with any of my other ducks. I read high protein levels cause this and Muscovy's tend to be effected even more. My Muscovy are around 8 weeks right now. They...
We hatched some Ancona and I know very little about them. I was wondering if there are things we should look for when choosing what ducks to keep? Meaning markings/coloring etc
