This is one of my lavender Marens. I have 5 total and all about the same age,5 or 6 weeks old. The difference is, this one has no tail feathers! Why is this? Is it normal? Help??? LOL

I have 3 baby chicks that I hatched 3 days ago. It looks like their poo is kinda reddish brown. Not sure if this is normal. Is it safe to give them corid just in case? They seem to be doing fine. They haven't been anywhere but in the brooder so not sure how they would have contracted anything...

I have a Lavender Marens Chick that is 5 or 6 weeks old that has a very small tail. The rest of the feathering on the bird is fine. Does this mean anything or is it normal for the breed? I have a total of 5 and this is the only one like it.

Tomorrow is lockdown so I candled my 6 eggs and all but 1 has fluid up by the air sack. When I shine the light by the air cell and move the egg from side to side is when I can see the fluid. Are they not going to make it? I have never seen this before. This is my second attempt in hatching...

This is John Wayne...the instigate of many fights! Notice the Blue Kote on his comb? He is a Red Frizzle Cochin. My Roo in the bottom pic is "the boy", he was the other in the fight. He is a Golden Laced Cochin. They are both ok...they just keep fighting. Separation is in order I think???

I need info on these birds! lol I have never raised these breeds before. I have 6 mille's and 6 sebrights. They will be 2 months old April 7th. Some are trying to crow already!! Is this typical? Is there any other info you can provide me on these breeds? Thanks BYC friends!!

This chick is now almost a month old now(this pic is 2 weeks old) and it's colors have not changed. Any guesses if it's a boy or girl or what breed it is??
