Hey guys, I’m trying to find a replacement bottom for 2 styrofoam incubators, one is a little giant the other is a different unknown brand but it is the same size as the little giant. I have the tops for both with all the important parts, I know they all worked great 5 years ago. I used to hatch...
Hey everyone, i just wanted to check in 'cause i havent been here in a while. Thanks to possums, most of my flock from last year is gone but between the shot gun and my traps i have relocated 20 + possums to little critter heaven. Now after getting an incubator and buying every bird for sell off...
My mallard eggs finally hatched! They started on day 23 and finished on the 24 night, most did any ways. I had 7 fertile eggs and I hatched 6 ducklings, i think that is pretty good. They were turned once a day and I only spritzed them the last half of the incubation. I will get some pics soon.
I pick some chicks up from tractor supply the other day but I'm not sure what they are.
1 it is supposed to be a wynnedot
2 this one is a " cornish x " but i think it is a bo
3 I dunno what this one is
So last week i went to the Tractor supply closest to the house to get an application for a summer job and i ended up buying 2 slw with straight combs, 2 bo, and 2 mallards one with a puff on its head. they sold me the bo's as broilers so they were cheaper:rolleyes:. Then today i went to drop off...
Can all the people with khaki Campbells share some information with me. I've googled them and every thing bit I can't find a whole lot of information. So any info will be greatly appreciated.
Is this a cochin or d'uccle. I though it was a cochin at first but now im thing d'uccle because it has a more up right posture and the feet are feathering like a d'uccle. Also Do yaw know weather it is a boy or girl?
Also the feather arent just a solid buff, they have dark buff lines on...
I went to Tractor supply Saturday and got two khaki campbell ducks and 4 assorted bantams. One of the Bantams is an EE but im not sure what the other three are.
Chick 1 Looks to me like a golden sebright but it has a single comb
Chick 2 (i have 2 like this) it has a beard i think

The other day, Monday I think, I found a duck egg so I took it and threw it in The bator. My mallard hen hasn't laid since. This is her first year to lay. I know she isn't hiding them because I've looked every where in the pen. Any ideas of why she is no longer laying?
I found an egg in the pen where we keep a mallard pair and 3 gueani's. It looks like a regular chicken egg except it was white with just barely a green tint to it. Is it a gueani or a duck egg.
I have some chicken eggs in the bator so I threw it in there.
I borrowed a hova bator from my uncle and I have it set at 101 degrees. I set 45 eggs in it tonight which will results in some pretty interesting chicks. I have silkies, cochins, buff o's, a frizzled cochin, rosecombs, ee, jap roosters, a huge mixed too, and a rir rooster.
I put an x on one...

this one is grey or porcelian, you cant really tell from the pic.
I'm not sure what breed these are, any help would be nice.
They all came from a bantam assortment pen, straight run $25 for all 10. the araucans were out of a different pen.
Here are 2 Araucanas
And a silkie
went by the feed store today and got 2 araucana pullets (you can already see the muffs and beard a lil bit) and 10 straight run batams from an assortment. 5 have feathered legs (1 silkie, 3 cochins?, and 1 unknown) the other ones are clean legged (1 gray, and 2 that look like baby quail kinda)...
Hey guys i have noticed with my cochins and cochin x's, when they are chicks the roosters always get fuller leg feathering first. I was wondering if this is just a coinsedence or if this happens to everyone else. If it does then could cochins possibly be sex link?
