is feeding breakfast cerial to chickens a goood idea
because the good cerials contain a high amout of grains or whole grains would it be good for them? could it be good in their diet?
my feeder and waterer is separated a good distance. but when i do my weekly trough clean i find a small amount of grain from the feeder in the water. about 15 wheat grains i generally find and it dosent worry me. does any one hav a explanation
does anyone have a home made feed or grain cleaner thatyou use to clean grain
want ideas or pictures as im want to make one myself. thinking of incorperating a fan and air supply by air compresser to clen grain along with small grating to let dust out.

i think people protesting about mulesing dont have the right idea
if you dont know what it is then google it.
mulesing is a matter of life and death to a sheep. with out it it will go through four times asmuch pain and i have seen it. the odd shepp the one gets misssed is definatly worse off.
i use carboard on mesh for my poop boards underneath the roosts and i was wonderin if the carboard would absorb the nitrogen etc when the poop moisure is absorbd by the carboard?
i have ot a phrisbee upside down and a milk crate on top of that to keep the broody hens out with the chick feed inside the thrisbee. instinks have you know it i fill the frisbee to the brim and the chick gets in the middle and scratches half of it out

i have a dust bath about 30-40 cm but dosent seem to work. it is about 20cm deep and i havent yet seen any signs of dust bathing.
the dust is quite fine and is the same stuff they dust bath in when they are free ranging...
the grain i feed my chickens makes its way int the water trough two meters away from it. could it be the sparrows eating then drinking or is it the chooks. i dont mind it but it makes me scatch my head
