Sebastopol goslings available for pick up only in Raymond Maine. We are located on the south end of Sebago Lake. Grays available now and blues, grays and white splashes due over the next 3 weeks. Holderreads stock. Very healthy robust babies! [email protected]
I haven't been able to find the thread. I may have both some Sebastopol goslings to sell, and some Heritage breed chickens. It is May 15th2010-Oxford ME?
I have a Spangled Russian Orloff bantam. I'm still not sure if it's a roo or a hen. It's less than half the size of my other normal size Orloffs at 6 months old. I hatched it (incubator) myself. does anyone else have one of these?
We will host a Chickenstock/Waterbaby in Parsonsfield, Maine any weekend in July (except the 4th) or August OR?, at our Campground, with a goody basket door prize and BBQ (pot luck). You don't have to camp-we just have the space! All poultry welcome! The one I had hoped to have in early June I...
I have goslings in Tri-reo (stereo in threes) peeping, all day and starting at 5:00 A.M. They are cute though! Here is the play pen I made today from expandable screens, hinges and a hasp. It took about 20 minutes to assemble. I added a drop cloth bottom made from plastic sheeting fastened with...
My husband woke me up at 6:00 this morning and Informs me that my "mini geese" are running around outside. He had brought a trash barrel in last night, and somehow the garage door was left wide open. The Sebs were secure in pens, but the mini's were in an open area in the barn connected to the...
I would love to keep him, but I have too many babies due to hatch in 3 weeks. I believe it to be a gander, blue splash . Socialized and very healthy. He was incubator hatched and raised indoors, never exposed to any other poultry. Both parents Holderreads stock. Mom is white and Dad is gray...
I had four Seb eggs small sizes and which might have been frozen, but I put them into the incubator anyway as an afterthought-didn't want to waste them if they might have a chance. Then we had 3 power outages, and I also had two spikes in temp. Of the four one died in th shell about day 25...
Day 24 and I got a definite "peep" from an egg! These are sister eggs to Miss Prissy's. I need a gray girl! Here is a pic of a gray I got last year from the same breeding.

A friend of mine who has a 2 year old wants to get a few chickens for eggs, and wants a roo so the eggs are fertile.. She needs a very gentle breed as she has a 2 year old child, and she has to consider her safety. The chickens will probably range on occasion. I love my Orloffs and find them...
They are cute and very feisty. Two look like domestic geese, and one female defiantly looks as though she has some wild goose blood in her background. They are very active and curious. They are eating well and I'm pleased so far with their temperament. The first pics are the females, the last...
Just saw this on Craigs list, but I'm not in the market for this-though I'd pass it along

I purchased an incubator and decided to hatch eggs- however...
From Holderreads first release of a small breed of goose they've been working on for the last ten years. A mix of several small breeds including a Lesser White Breasted/domestic mix. They are very small, about the size of a medium duck. They seem to be sweet and friendly and are settling in very...
I was anticipating having to separate my Brabanters from the Orloffs soon, and instead the have turned up their beaks at each other, and marked off their territories in the barn. The hens are the fierce ones! The roos just do whatever they say! Of course, the hens all want the same nest!
Let out the Sebastopol geese to enjoy a nice sunny day. They are all lined up on the deck looking into the patio window at the Ravens/Dolphins game.
They go take a bath at commercials then come right back to watch. They honk during good plays. I think they favor the Ravens!
