I have a gorgeous roo that I have been hoping to keep that I must part with. He and his daddy are no longer friends. He is not aggressive towards humans at all. He's on the big end of the bantam size scale. Almost one year old. Free to a good BYC home.
Hello all,
I am a college student this sememster and I need to write an evaluation paper for my ENG111 class. Since it's about that time of year, I've decided to evaluate McMurray Hatchery. I am attempting to determine if McMurray is adequately meeting the needs of today's hobby farmer. If you...
I have a handsome little bantam Easter Egger Roo that needs a new home ASAP. He can't stay here (too many roos) and I'd hate to have to send him to freezer camp. We are about 30 minutes west of Indianapolis.
I call him Oops. His leg feathers tell me his bantam Easter Egger daddy was mixing it up with my mixed breed Cochin hen. He's a handsome little bugger though. Free to a good BYC home. We are located about 30 minutes West of Indianapolis.
I have an OEGB cockerel, about 4 months old that I picked up at TSC. I'm not sure which color, probably BB Red? I'm willing to part with for free to a good BYC'er home. I'm in central Indiana just west of Indianapolis.
I have two gold laced Sebright cockerels. I wish I could keep them but have to many roos hanging around already. Free to a really good BYC home. I'm in Central Indiana just west of Indy.
I have an OEGB cockerel, about two months old that I picked up at TSC. I'm not sure which color, probably BB Red. I'll send a pic if you are interested. I'm willing to part with for free to a good BYC'er home. I'm in central Indiana just west of Indianapolis.
I have at least one, probably two Golden Sebright cockerels that I have to part with. I haven't seen the second one crow yet, but it looks just like it's brother. They are about two months old and were purchased from TSC.
I will part with them for free to a good BYC'er home. I'm in central...
I picked this little bugger up out of the bantam bin at TSC. Is it a Porcelain? And please, please, please tell me it isn't looking a little roo-ish. Lie to me if need be. I really want to keep it.
You have to love hatching under a broody. One minute it was just Pearl sitting on her nest. Then next minute there is a perfectly dry and alert little chick! Just like it appeared out of nowhere!
Day 21 and we've got nothing going on in there. I started softly talking to them. Trying to encourage them to come out. Then started raising my voice. Now I'm pretty much ready to start shaking it, just like I do to wake my teenager...
I actually had to voluntarily ban myself from this website for awhile to keep from getting Bator Fever too early in the spring. But now it's time! I just put two dozen EE bantam eggs in.
I have a situation here and cannot keep all my roos. They're good healthy guys, they just need their own space. I don't have enough individual pens to keep them separated. I really don't want to let them go, but it's not fair to them to have to try to protect themselves all the time.
First...
My boys got into a scuffle and one now has a swollen eye along with some small flesh wounds on his comb. I've brought him inside and he's resting comfortably in a crate. I'm trying to keep it relatively dark so he'll rest that eye. Is there something I should do for the eye injury? Or just wait...
with eggs! Every able hen laid an egg today. I even cleaned the coop and rearranged a few things. They still ALL laid eggs. What am I supposed to do with all these eggs? 14 eggs today. I have 16 hens. One has never laid an egg for me (I think she's old) and the other is molting. I thought they...
