    barred rock leg color

    I was curious if barred rocks had similiar leg coloring to RIR's or should it be different. My BR's legs are yellow/orange but the front of the leg and tops of toes are brownish/grey. Is this normal?

    egg production is under way!

    Well it's been 5 days since we got our first egg and we've had one a day since then. It took my 2 girls a while(6 months) but we are there. It was a surprise to me because I thought they might wait until spring. We got them as chicks in june. Hooray for us!
