This is "Wildman jr" and sugar the hen. Wildman, the father is a large black Silkie bantam. Sugar is a small white Silkie bantam. Wildman was named because he refuses to live in the coop with the other chickens so I stopped trying. Sugar is not the genetic mom. The genetic mom could be a rir...
Well hatched out 19 game but was wondering if the roosters will get along if they were raised up in the same brood all their lives? Or do they absolutely have to be kept seperate?
Will the chick coloration of the fuzz be the same as the adult feathers? I have 20 pumpkin hulsey chick 1/4 of them have varying degrees of black on the fuzz. Should I wait for adult feathers before giving those away

These are Pumpkin Hulseys. Ten hatched last night. The eggs cost 30 more than the incubator lol. Thats ten right there had already pulled out four chicks and have 5 eggs left 3 of those have pips. With all the things I heard about an LG I wasnt even sure it would work.
Well I ordered some rarer pumpkin hulsey eggs, one doz from gabbard farms. I candeled at a week and every single one of them was fertile. This is way better than my rates on eggs from ebay where only half or less grow. I don't know if this was unusual but just thought if anyone thought they...
Hi I was thinking if you plugged in an LG to an R Zilla temperature controller..... http://www.amazon.com/Zilla-Temperature-Controller/dp/B0018CLYNG then turned the LG all the way up you could maintain a dead on temperature in the LG. But has anyone ever tried this? I am looking for some input...
What was I supposed to have humidity at? I normally incubate in a brinsea mini and with that you fill up one chamber then both chambers at lockdown. But got a LG and a humidity gauge from wal mart. I forgot what a correct humidity is suppose to be. I candled 24 relatively expensive eggs costing...
Well I have been buying bcm eggs and incubating them for a year. Slowly and because of low hate rates got the flock up to 12 birds. Had some big plans but a coyote got all of them one night. Well I didnt want to wait for another year of hatching eggs from ebay so I just got 12 golden laced...
This is my last unknown got him (I think a him) from Atwoods a couple months ago. As a chick he had the same pattern a leghorn I had. I was kinda thinking Old English Game or Buttercup? Thanks in advance
This is sweetie a bantam hen she is five months old and began laying a couple weeks ago. Got her in the bantam bin. Lays every day. Eggs are an olive or very light brown, could be an ee tint i dunno I am color blind. Super calm and hangs out in the house, plays with daughter a lot. Has feathered...
This is a bantam he is very feisty chasing feet the only thing that make him happy is baths. He crows a lot. Got him from the bantam bin at atwoods and would like to know what kind of bantam he is. Thanks.
I have 12 BCM eggs going and I cant see a thing when candling. Well I heard that the bad ones explode. I don't want that of course. So they have 6 days to go should I be smelling a rotten egg smell from the bad ones? Or is it ok to just let them go for 24 days or w/e?
