Free to a good home.
Single, white EE rooster with slate legs and an attractive red single comb is seeking a new group of ladies to protect from hawks and lead to yummy treats. Likes scratch, looking for bugs, crowing and hens who "like to have a good time."
If your flock needs a good...
Free EE rooster located in Grand Island, Nebraska. All white, blue legs, short comb. No beard. Hatched 5/7/10 from a blue egg.
He's a good boy. No aggression and well mannered towards people. I've heard him warn the flock about hawks. However, I live in town and his crow is getting louder...
Looking to buy EE and Silkie hatching eggs locally. Located in central Nebraska. Wanting to pick the eggs up or only have them shipped a short distance to avoid rough handling by the post office.
Since the weather is still cold, I'm looking to buy in late March, early April.
Thanks!
By my calculations, we're now past 30 days and my goose is still glued to her nest. I can't seen any signs of pipping in the 6 eggs she has under her. It's her first time at this. She did roll an egg out of the nest a week ago that had gone bad. She's been very dillegent at sitting, turning...

Do I need to do anything else...

My American Buff pair are less than one year old. But, it's coming into breeding season and the gander is "courting" me. The goose isn't laying yet, but I've seen the pair trying the figure out the whole how does this mating thing work.
In the mean time, he's very, shall we say, affectionate...
Since we've had LOTS of rain this spring, we now have billions of mosquitos. They're biting my goslings legs. Can geese get West Nile virus from mosquitos & get sick/die? Or will everything be OK?
No cases of West Nile have been reported yet, but if I need to protect Bob & Alice somehow, I...
