Well mine are all a little unwell right now so maybe sharing some pics of end last summer will help me! (that's the one that died after mink attack-see other thread) (When I first bought her hehe) -

Well they have survived 24 hours anyway.. Still in shock but a bit brighter, the runner is still a bit touch and go, they all are, but she seems to have some neurological problems, but the hope is that she will improve as swelling goes down, however if she deteriorates any bit more then we will... -

I doubt it, he was just cornered sort of, as he was in the duck run, and I think he was a bit frustrated as my ducks did put up a serious fight! Apparently if they feel cornered they will attack anyone, however when he went for me I had just come in the gate and he was trying to get me by... -

Thanks. They have a huge house but I keep that inside a huge run that is double fenced with tiny hole wire and black ground mesh that i basically fixed to the fence posts, with netting all the way over the top. But the rats must have Mae a hole I didn't see, I don't know how the mink got in but... -

Horrible horrible horrible. Been home from vets 4 hours now and still shaking... Hopefully will have a trap tomorrow but the thought of owing anywhere near him scares me! I never knew a wild animal to try several times to attack humans... Horrible.. I had to kick him a few times to stop him... -

well.... she was broody. for almost 6 weeks she sat on an empty nest! but, as i suspected once i opened up the extension to their run she hopped off and never looked back! oh well!!! -

hi! I had to sell my drake today, he was just too big and um.. frisky any unfortunatly one of my runner duck has died. so he had to go. i think he was the reason my runners havent laid since early spring. my aylesbury has laid an egg a day since christmas! i wanted more ducks having only 2 now... -

thanks... ya i figured moving her would be a bad idea if she had eggs... their run extension s also going to have to be explored so even if i leave the house and open up the extension i think she'll probably stop.. ya i've read that about the drakes.. as drakes go, hes pretty sensible.. the... -

i have the same problem here, as i have lots of horses too, and goats as well as the ducks and foxgloves are deadly to all. 2 years ago i had none, then they felled a big forrest nearby and since then i am over run with foxgloves, i have sprayed some but they take quite a while to die and are... -

i guess its not full flight, sort of a flap flap and a high jump, but they are getting way too good at it....at this rate without the net they may get over the fence...i got non flight birds cause the fence is only 4 foot.....hmm..... they come flying out of the house so not a run-jump, no room... -

hi, I'm back.... been so busy but i didnt forget that i promised photos...... duckies lurve their new house. its fab, an because they like it so much and get dinner etc inside, it means if i need them to go in 5 mins before dark they will, with it fully dark now by 5pm that really helps take... -

oh so they do have a pecking order, i wasnt sure, its not that obvious even with my lot, they all live in happy bliss..... i think i will try get her so they all move into the new house at the same time, just incase theres any territory issue.... not going to tell Him i'm getting her, hehe... -

ok, so you may have seen that i am getting a cool new duck house.... when i got my 2 pekins and 2 runners the man had a 3rd runner...as i had only gone for 3 ducks and came home with 4, i couldnt take a 5th. but....it has bothered me that i left the poor girl there.....he has lots of other duck... -

oh i cant wait for them to have a new bigger bed, i am having to do a pretty big clean out every day...... deposit paid on house!!! i get it saturday!! Lino bought!!!! wood sticks ready for the top of lino and screws bought! new mini splash pond for indoors and new wood pellets bought to go... -

Thanks! Yes I am hoping to get some end of roll or off cuts of the lino to keep the cost down so if i can get enough i will def do the walls a but too, good idea on the wood strips, do you mean around the top of the wall part? ya? hopefully i can get some nice colours too hehehe -
