    well i have incubated before and i love it, but the part i love is when the chicks hatch. To turn the eggs for 21 days and not get any hatch is a really big dissapointment because now i will have to find some more eggs and wait another 21 days unless any of theses eggs decide they want to hatch.

    hi i just bought a sportsman incubator with automatic turner and the thing constantly turns. it takes about 10 secoonds to flip the eggs. and it rotates 24/7. so if you do the math 24 hours(86,400 seconds) divided by 10 seconds equals 8640 turns in one day.     the one side of my peacocks face is swollen under the eye and has been this way for about three weeks. Has anybody seen this before? i was hoping it would go away but it hasnt. Let me know if you know whats wrong or what i could do to help it? He doesnt seem sick or anything. THanks

    Thanks for all the information everybody. I still have a question for speckledhen though..... what would be the difference between breeder birds and hatchery birds that make the hatchery birds start to lay earlier? (because you are right, i do notice that trend)
