That would be fantastic! If I can't find any closer that will have to do. I drive to Ellensburg every weekend so North Bend isn't too far for me. But in order for them to be usable by fair I need to have them in the incubator no later than Sunday. Wish I had more time to prepare--sheesh! :P
Hello friends! I am looking for fertile eggs for an FFA project and need them as soon as possible. I am in Western, WA (Snohomish County) I am willing to pay, but I am limited with how much I can spend. They are going to be incubated for the FFA Career Development event I am helping coordinate...
My mom, Joe Vandal (school mascot) and I during University of Idaho's Mom's weekend 2010.
Hello! Welcome to my BYC page! My name is Krista and I am a college student currently working on my B.S in Animal Science. I am currently enrolled in the University of Idaho and love it. The school is...
So I had an easter egger go down suddenly on Friday night. She was alert, but couldn't stand or walk. I did a quick examination and felt a really hard mass in her lower right abdomen. Over the night, she got worse, and passed away.
I recently took this hen in from my Grandparent's, and they...
When I first started my hatching journey my dad was so grumpy at me! He was dead set against me having anymore chickens and he definitely did NOT like the idea of the possibility that some of the hatched chicks will be male.
Part of his apprehension is because in August I will be going back to...
Hehe I feel like a new mom! I was on video call with my boyfriend on msn and he couldn't help but giggle at me cooing over the chicks. He is no better though! The only reason he had me video call him was so he could see the chicks!! haha! (He had to work overtime so he didn't have time to stop...
Next few poops were normal. I was actually pretty surprised! They are little poo machines and they haven't eaten yet. They just now got their first meal.
But all the other poos I found this morning/afternoon were normal.
So this was my first successful hatch, so I am being very paranoid!
When I last checked on the chicks I found a green poo that had a decent amount of red in it. They are only about 10hrs old...what could this be? They haven't even left the incubator yet. Sorry if I sound like a newbie. This is...
Mine pipped on day 20 and didn't zip and hatch until really early on day 21. (Like 3:30-4am).
I was so worried about the membranes being dry too! It kept me up worrying but mine seemed to make it out ok.
My final egg is zipping as I type this. The other two are over looking at it as if they are cheering it on! So cute. I am so tired from staying up all night watching them!
Two out of the three that went into lockdown have hatched and the last has pipped and is rockin!
Meanwhile...I was up all night watching and I am exhausted! I think I am going to do as the chicks are doing and take a nap!
I have been up watching my first egg! It started zipping at 3am and is now almost out!! MY other two eggs have pipped but are still pretty calm for now other than a few rocks here and there.

I know very well it's two days early and I keep running over with the flashlight to check for pips. I'm glad to see everyone else is anxious too I'm dying to open up that incubator and see if there's still movement... I'm being good, though, I won't touch it!
We moved our bin with the...
My mom and I have been standing next to my bator with one of those Easter chicks you sit in your palm and it chirps. And when we aren't doing that we are peeping at it. Its good to know we aren't just crazy!
