I am outside of Atlanta Ga. The chickens are bout 1 1/2 old. I am feeding them layer pellets (16-or 18%).. All the birds seem to be fine and healthy not showing signs of illness. No discharge from eyes or nose. I have seen some signs of runny poop but not al lot.
I have (2) separate coops with multiple chickens and hardly any eggs. Coop (1) has 45 hens and (2) roos they have a large run area and a completely covered roosting area with ample space for all the birds. Inside roost automatic water and feed. coop number (2) 18 birds these are my breeding...
i have a flock of about 60 birds and I am noticing a couple of birds that have watery eyes and are sneezing. What do you guys suggest I do? First time flock, Another thing to note is we started having colder days here High 30's low 40's at night.
It has been a week and we are getting aroung 8-10 eggs a day. Still way off from 28-32. I am puzzled can not find any reason they are not laying. Any suggestions?
I checked I do not see any mites. They seem to been fine by appearence but only getting 3-4 eggs a day compared to 28-34 last week. They do not seem to be lethargic or inactive. Puzzled...
We keep a 55 gallon waterer filled so I think they stay hydrated. I will put some DE out this afternoon for the mites. It has actually cooled off a little bit here in Georgia still humid.
