    White corn chicken feed.

I recently found out my 4 mo. old bantam Delaware pullet is a cockerel! She went from Della to Dell in less than 3 minutes! Now, I have been advised to use feed made of white corn to preserve his brilliant white plumage and white flesh. We live in NW Iowa, right in yellow corn country, and I...

Little Buckie has a broken wing.

My almost 4 month old bantam Buckeye was struggling a week ago, not acting normal, favoring her right side. I gave her some Poly-Visol and in the process she fell out of my hand and landed with a thud on her left side on the concrete. I kept her inside for a few days, and monitored her. She...

Smaller dose P/T testing antigen supplier

For those of us that test our own and hire out on occassion, to do P/T testing on chickens, does anyone know of a source that supplies smaller dose bottles than a 1000 dose or test supply? Seems to me the manufacturer/s would make twice as much money selling them in 500 dose bottles as well...

    Got a backwards pullet?

This girl lays her egg, or drops it anywhere, then she finds a nest box to scratch and sit in for a rest? Go figure. I am going to change her name to "Ernestine Stop and Squat". Anyone have an idea of how to break her of this?

Button Quail people help me out!

Saw button quail for the first time today and was enthralled by how tiny they were. Can anyone tell me what purpose they serve? They seem far too small for a production breed and as a hunting breed. Are they purely for enjoyment, like ornamental banatms? Are they a song bird? Can you eat...
