Oh, thank you both!! OK, see I never thought of pliers, ha!
Davaroo, that's a nice run. Is that a Junior Roost in there? I'll work on the pliers and let DH do the wood strips in his "free" time.
thanks again!
OK, simple question, but we non-builder types can't figure it out:
What do I use to cover the edge of the chicken wire? I'm talking about where we cut the wire at a corner and stapled it on the posts-- the corner posts in our run are 4x4s, and the wire is bending up on all corners, especially...
OK, I'm an RN, worked in Rehab, had a Therapy Dog, and still had NO IDEA that a small dog, such as a Chihuahua could be a SD!! See, I really do learn something new on here every time I come on But, now that I think about it, of course there would be situations where they would work...
Here is my beautiful heart-of-gold dog, Princess Winifred the Wonder Dog! Sadly, she died in January exactly one month after these pictures were taken. She was almost 12 and my first baby! She left a huge hole in our family...
Here she is looking gorgeous while searching for hawks...
That is very nice! I'm always impressed by the people on here who can just think up something and then build it. Not me, I have to pay someone else to do it.
OK, I love the picture!! My former 3 yr old is now 5 yrs old--he's up to different tricks now. Sometimes he gets up early before anyone else and helps himself to his own special breakfasts: marshmallow sandwiches, Hersheys syrup, whatever strikes his fancy. if it's sweet he'll find it. When...
My friend's run is 2 x 4 welded wire and no top. She lives in a more
rural area than us, right next to a cornfield with plenty of hawks. And She's never lost a hen to a hawk or raccoon! I look at her run and just can't believe it.
We have chicken wire top and bottom and hardware cloth around...
WOW!! I had no idea I could use staples or tape or no glue at all.
DH says glue is necessary, that glue gun is easy enough. NO way I could smear it with a trowel and get the piece in by myself
Thank you all so much--OK, tomorrow is the day.
Once again, I am sooo HAPPY I joined up here! I...
Oh yes, it's actually vinyl in a large sheet like your picture, thank you!
I was worried that I wouldn't be able to lay the sheet before the
glue dried. It looks easy enough, just haven't done it before . And the label says I can cut it with scissors!!
DH is out of town and I need to get this done, because my chicks are crowded
Is it possible for me to lay this by myself? Do I need two people? Can I put the glue down and get the vinyl down before it drys all by myself?
The floor is only 8 x 6. Oh, and the coop is already done--yeah I...
OK, since no one else seemed to notice I guess I have to:
You did that in FOUR WEEKENDS!?!? WOW!!!!
That is nothing short of miraculous!! It's so cute and it would have
taken us about fourteen weekends at our pace. It looks like you hired a professional carpenter
I see that Lowes has a gable mounted solar box fan for $240.
It looks nice and wonderful, but I need something cheaper. A lot cheaper!!
I see those solar shed lights for $50 all over the place so I think a fan should be about that also
Anyone know of one? Thanks!!
Since I am hungry and haven't been there since undergrad, if you are going all the way to Kansas City MO, then you need to eat barbecue at Arthur Bryants!! Gates Barbecue is another good one but don't know it they are in Kansas or just Missouri.
And you have to listen to Lynard Skynard on...
She's sooo pretty!
I had success hiding prednisone in baby food--meat flavor.
It worked for the prednisone, but not for the pain med. She would just lick off the baby food and leave the Tramadol on the floor. So, then I would just rub baby food over it and stuff it in the side of her cheek...
I just read the first 3 books in the series and now I'm hooked.
Haven't seen the TV show yet, we cancelled HBO last year.
I can't start reading til 10pm when kids are in bed and clean up is done--then I read til 1 am. Could explain why I'm soooo tired this month!
wonder if it's on netflix?
Yes, That little coop will be moved. The new coop ( we didn't build that one!) will be placed so the pop door is up against the run. And, we'll have a ramp and cut a hole in the fence. The problem is we can't visualize how to close the gap between the new coop and the run--the old coop was...
