    Hi Washington Peeps! My hubby got relocated to Leavenworth Wa from Spokane... We're having a difficult time finding housing... I have a place for all my chickens so we are down to finding 3+ bedroom house for under $2000 a month within 30 mins from town... You'd think that'd be a breeze...

    not very tramatic.... depending... if you put her in a closed box where she can feel secure(plus breathe) vs being jostled around at every turn, she'll be ok... they only have 2 legs and can be off balance when a vehicle is moving :)... Have Fun!!

    This is my beautiful blue sumatra!! she's been laying eggs for about a month now!! I think, because she is so rare I should find her a home with a breeding program... any advise out there? :)...if she's not breed quality I'll keep her but I have a completely different breed project going on...

I'm working on first gen olive eggers using pure amarucana hens(from pips and peeps:) and a marans roo(not perfect)... really hoping to find a better roo with proper leg coloring and feathering... I've got 4 chicks that hatched out under a broody hen a couple of days ago... 3 are BCM and 1 is an Olive egger... is there a order of features to look for in a chick... ?     Still air incubator idea HELP :) I am aquiring a 12 volt CPU fan today and am wanting to install it in a Little giant 9200 incubator.... I've read that too much air is bad and that the CPU fan is to fast... I'm powering the fan with a 9 volt old cell charger(has a transformer;)... I'm thinking...

    Yes it will! I'm attempting a CPU fan install in the still air incubator... I found a Rheostat at radio shack that should slow down the voltage and ultimately make the fan speed adjustable... I hope it works out because my understanding is it could make our hatch rates higher... hindsight says...

    My friend and I set 40 eggs yesterday!!! this'll be our first incubator hatch!! the egs are due the 15th or 16th of Dec!!! BCM's and Olive eggers!! SO EXCITED!!

    she is a partridge cochin bantam I believe! very gorgeous... layed about 3 eggs then went broody!...lol...very young hen to go broody but I guess I'm not suprised :)
