Yeah we assumed as much, but that's not the big issue here. We're more concerned with her leg... we want her to get better! :) Thanks for your input though!
A chicken my cousin recently rescued had been attacked by a coyote. She was sitting on a nest when she was attacked. She hasn't laid an egg since the attack, and she has a horrible limp. My cousin didn't know the chicken's personality before the attack, so she can't tell if the chicken is acting...
Update: She has been acting perfectly fine lately! The only strange thing that's till remaining is the fact that she hasn't been quacking. Other than that, she hasn't been acting anything out of the ordinary. I'm not sure if she laid an egg when I was in school or what, but she's okay now...
Update:
She's been drinking and even ate some when my sister fed them all about an hour ago. She's acting like she doesn't like us now (A good sign, since she really doesn't like us) and even quacked some, which she hasn't been doing for the past couple of days. She's not avoiding all the ducks...
I haven't seen her eat today, but she's been drinking a lot. We went to acme this morning and we couldn't find any molasses there for some reason, so I'm going to head to a shop-rite soon. She's been pretty calm today, but she's still doing that clenching thing. I'll put her in water after I...
He hasn't had anything to do with her today. It's night now, they're all sleeping, but I'll pick some up tomorrow morning and try that. I did feel her stomach, and I could feel something hard, but I'm no expert with how it should feel (My other ducks don't like being handled) so I don't know if...
It's fall here :) We do have one drake and 3 girls. They actually managed to hatch a duckling in the beginning of August, I don't know which duck is the mother, but I've never seen any of them act this way. Oh, and this duck hasn't been quacking like she usually does, and her breathing seems a...
My dad has taken my cat and rabbits to the vet, but he said he stops there. He won't take a chicken or a duck to the vet, and he wouldn't let me go ahead and do it on my own. I know it would probably be the best thing to do for it, but all I can really do is try things at home. Thanks for the...
We always have water out, and there's some food lying on the ground from a couple of hours ago because the other animals didn't finish it. We don't have any molasses. The only things we really have are honey, oils, and things like that.
Before I put her in the water, she was drinking, and my sister fed her a little earlier so she hasn't eaten recently .But anyway, I just took her out of the water again, and she pooped like 10 times in total, in and out of the water. It seems as if a just a little bit is coming out each time...
Okay, I'll do that then. Right now she's in the warm water again, so when I take her out I'll put her in the pen without the rest of them instead. I'll post on here if anything happens.
Yeah, I can keep the chickens and ducks inside the pen, and leave her out and give her some peace. I'll just do that then and hope it works. Thanks for all your help.
Oh, yeah my dad would never let me put the duck in the bathroom :( . Now if I had my own house, I would put it in the bathroom, but he would never allow it :(
Well, I was just out there trying to find the vent. I was having some problems with it, then suddenly it kinda opened up and she "pooped" (it was more a liquidy clear substance that anything resembling duck poop) a little. Then she stood there, and it looked like she was trying to push something...
Well we took her out and she seemed a little calmer and everything, but nothing has really changed. We don't have any of those latex gloves or anything so I'm a little skeeved out about just sticking my finger in there :/ My sister had her sitting in her lap and it hasn't been pooping, white...

Thanks :) We're trying that right now, so we'll see how that goes. She's been in there for about 25 minutes now. I also read somewhere else that you can sometimes feel the egg in their abdomen and sort of push it and help it along... should I try that after the bath?
Hi. So she's not doing very well right now. She's breathing really heavily and can't seem to quack. She keeps wanting to walk around, but it's hard. Her butt is sticking up in the air and she's like... clenching and unclenching it. So basically the front of her is like on the ground and her butt...
