    Agreed, try to get her to eat and drink. Electrolyte may help as well, however, don't be surprised if she doesn't make it. Sorry to be the barer of bad news.

    They'll eat what they need, and they need a lot. don't ration food for chickens. To give you an idea, I have 5 chicks that are a little over a week old, and they eat/spill about 1quart of food per day.

    Yes you can eat pullets, but roosters are cheaper, grow bigger faster, and you'll be eating them long before they're old enough to do "roostery" things. If you are buying a heritage breed only for meat, my vote is for Delaware, but there are many good options.

    You can give too many treats, but it's hard to over feed normal chicken feed, they only eat what they want.
