Hello all, I have about 2 week old buff orpington that is missing feathers around her left eye. I have been keeping a close eye on her and the patch seems to be getting bigger. As I have watched it does not seem like the other chicks are picking on her but still not ruling that out as it's not...
There are now 6 eggs that have hatched and 6 more to go. But none of them show any pips or anything. The six that have hatched kind of shoved the unhatched ones into the same corner. What is your opinion on wether or not I should take out the hatched chicks. Or is it okay if they bounce the...

Nope no pips yet. They are really rolling around though. And the whole incubator is chirping away. If I had to take a guess I would say that 6 out of the 12 have internally pipped. I think I am going to wait like you said and if they haven't pipped by tomorrow morning I will create a hole like...
Well I started out with 21 eggs and I have 12 in at lockdown now. It is day 20 today. And last night they were rocking and rolling. This morning I can hear chirping. But I can't see any pips yet. My question is I got up in the middle of the night to check on them and the humidity was perfect at...

Well bad news, I candled last night and didn't see any movement so I cracked them open and every single one was dead. I think I had the humidity wrong. I think I will try dry incubating next.
So today is day 24 of my incubation process. I had one hatch on day 21 and none have hatched since, not even a roll or peep or anything since day 20 or 21. Do I candle them and look at them to see if they are still alive , or should I do the float test? Any help is great! Thanks for Looking!
OK so I have one chick that hatched on day 21. It is now day 23 and there are 4 more still in there, when I put them in there on day 18 they were all moving and squirming around. Do you think I should candle them tonight to look for movement? I am really worried. PLEASE HELP!
One more question, I had one egg hatch on day 21 and it is doing just fine. But I have 4 more in the bator with him and he is kind of knocking them around. Is this ok or do I need to get him out?
Ok so I had one chick pip around 5 am yesterday morning and it hatched at 5 pm. since then I have been watching really close to see if we have any other pips, and there is nothing. The hatched chick is still in the incubator and I am debating whether or not I should take it out. What is your...
I am on day 20 of my incubation process. I have the humidity at 70 % and everything is going great. The only thing I am wondering is why my eggs aren't moving(rolling) they are in the same position that they were in when I put them in there on day 18. Are they supposed to move or do you think...
Well I am on day 19 now so I am in the Lockdown stage, Ive got the bator at 70% humidity and everything is going well, here are all the pics that I took during the incubation process
