Well I started out with 21 eggs and I have 12 in at lockdown now. It is day 20 today. And last night they were rocking and rolling. This morning I can hear chirping. But I can't see any pips yet. My question is I got up in the middle of the night to check on them and the humidity was perfect at 62%. Well I got up 3 hours later and the humidity was 45%. What I want to know is will the eggs be alright. I am worried that it might have shrink rapped the eggs. Any advice you have would be great.
Thanks

ok I am not liking this egg at all.....
Fill us in again....

Shipped egg, saddle air cell

what day is this for sure?
How many others have pips now?
How many eggs are like this one?
What is humidity now?
Have you read the assist article?

This is one of my silkies. It had a normal air cell till today I suppose. This is day 21. Only one has hatched, one has pipped, and I THINK I have some other internal pips. All seem to be alive. Humidity is around 65. It shot up to 70 when baby one hatched. The egg in the pictures has movement inside it. I possibly see a shadow in the air cell. I need to check again to be sure. I have read the assist article and several posts where people assisted. I think this hatch is behind for some reason.

Harmony and DH's Herd of Brahma!
She says "mommy I am scared, he is lookin at me"
and I say to myself "I wouldn't even be sitting there if I was a kid"
she has more nerve than I did for sure!

Is this a girl who loves chickens or what!
"Girls day out, Harmony says!"

HEY WING! I want to see the image of Cha Cha on the Turkey ok?

you cant tell unless you create a view hole in one of them, you are early yet, I would wait another day. you have the assist article, you will look for internal pips or chirping, follow the steps to creating a view hole in one to see whats going on, again I suggest waiting. no pips at all?

Nope no pips yet. They are really rolling around though. And the whole incubator is chirping away. If I had to take a guess I would say that 6 out of the 12 have internally pipped. I think I am going to wait like you said and if they haven't pipped by tomorrow morning I will create a hole like you said.

Yey we just hatched a baby last night! We have it in a small box under a heat lamp going to get chick starter in a little bit as it arrived earlier than I calculated!! Chick has fluffed up over night and is very loved already. Only thing is its getting noisier but has just fallen asleep. Do I keep it in here for a while or take it out to mama hen out in the coop. Its still very cold here in Alberta so not sure what is best. I do know if we keep chick in here I will need a bigger box.
If it was hatched by a broody, she should go back to mom asap. Before she gets to used to you and gets confused. Get her to her mom while her instincts are still strong and she'll listen to her mom. Slip her under the hen while she's sleeping, so she will wake up to the chick and think it hatched during the night. If you are worried about the cold you can put mom and the chicks in a separate area with a heat lamp for the first 3-4 weeks, until the chicks are stronger. This will also help keep the chicks warm when they run around.
