Gosh... I really need to hatch some local eggs. These hatch rates from shipped eggs are really bringing me down.

All of these shipped eggs are driving me nuts!

and yet, I know I will order soon again...

Yes, they are right on track so you should leave them alone. Now that they have pipped, it can take up too 24 hours before they hatch. Good Luck!
Thank you for your quick reply. Two more are pipped now. So there are actually 4 total! I'm so excited.

Ok, here's what's going on in my bator.

I candled the eggs and 2 of them were completely dark, while the other 3 had spaces of blood vessels. I opened the 2 completely dark eggs and moistened their membranes. They were both mal-positioned, but because of the horribly saddled air cells, their beaks were fairly easy to find. Both of them were very weak. There was very little movement and it looked like their blood vessels were already beginning to subside. I had always thought the they don't begin to subside until the chick internally pips. Anyways, I carefully avoided blood vessels and I managed to free both of their beaks. Both started breathing instantly, but they are still very weak. I'm glad I went in when I did, because these 2 wouldn't have made it otherwise.

I looked at the other 3 eggs and starting thinking. I lost every single shipped egg from the NYD hatch-a-long and all of them looked like this, so I might as well try something. Especially after seeing the condition of the other 2 chicks. I choose one of the eggs to open. I removed part of the shell and moistened the membrane. This chick is also mal-positioned, but because the air cell extended all the way down to the small end of the egg, I was able to find it's beak. This chick has a lot of fluid left. I'm not sure what do to with this baby. I know that I can't internally pip for it because it's not ready and there is too much fluid, but from my experience, chicks like this don't make it.

Even though the first 2 are weak, I'm very hopeful. They are breathing and their blood vessels are subsided. As for the other 3, I have very little hope. Sally, what would you do? I don't understand why those 3 (as well as my NYD eggs) have so much fluid left. Temperatures were spot on so they shouldn't be delayed.
I don't know Coch, are you positive your temps are spot on? what have you run humidity at, your air cells looked fine? was humidity up too high at lockdown, hygros accurate too?
Its temp or humidity or a combo.

Yeah.. I'm sure. and the air cells looked good.

With the NYD hatch, the local eggs hatched right on day 21, so I knew that temps. were accurate. The shipped eggs had lots of fluid left even though their air cells were more developed than the local eggs. It was really strange.

This has only happened once before and the only thing that I changed was the incubator. Both hatches were in my new genesis incubator, but the genesis should have only improved rates with the fan and electronic thermostat.

I lost 3 more babies ...2 this morning and 1 last night!! last couple of days I've spent checking their butts cleaned them all with olive oil and warm cloth. added electrolytes to the water and put them in the bigger brooder. it's devastating....after I tried to save one this morning to no avail, I went to work then my daughter called me and said we lost another one. So I had her do the 4 Tbsp of Apple cider vinegar in their gallon waterer and came home tonight ....so far no more losses!! I'm really distressed over it because I thought I had been watching them so carefully and not stressing them but I don't know..

I had a few chicks that were getting pasty butt everyday, so I trimmed the fluff down by the vents and it really helped. If all of them are being affected, continue with the ACV and such, but if it's mainly a few, try trimming the fluff.

Sorry about your losses.
