Hi about a month ago my hen was acting sick, not eating for a week, looked weak....
Took away the pellets i was feeding it and it got better by weeks end.
This happened months earlier too and in same fashion.

Day before it was fine and then next day weak and no appetite.

I noticed my 2 hens are hungrier for scratch this time of year with the cold weather here. They are not eating the cracked corn portion of the "scratch" as much as they eat the other contents of the scratch....
are they doing this to stay warm ?

I took my young hen to a vet over 2 weeks ago, she looked injured and couldn't pass her egg. Her vent was pecked by the other hens and there was some injury so vet said give her some antibiotic just in case to prevent sepsis because fecal matter could infect the area e.t.c.
