Thank you for this info! We have a security screen door and my In laws have the same frame, but their screen is black ...it looks much nicer but/and you can see through it much better. We are making a new run for the coop to accommodate more chickens. Black welded wire it is.👍

I have a similar narrow situation; my first flock was on the other side of the house and I’m going to move or build the structure on the more narrow side now.

Hi, how many chickens? We are San Diego too :) first started chicken raising in 2015 and now on our second flock. We live on Penasquitos canyon and have to look out for predators (coyotes, bobcats, hawks, raccoons). They’ll scale fences to get to the coop/run and any loss is heartbreaking...
