    Chick question

    Cleaning the chicks brooder today and noticed some of their breast looking like this. What is going on? Pine shavings for bedding, water with antibiotic, chick feed, temp staying between 80-85. They are 9 days old. They seem happy. Very playful and moving well. Thanks for the help

    I read somewhere that dishcloths are best for the bottom of my brooder. It said that using chips that the chicks might actually try to eat them out of curiosity. Does it really matt? what is your opinion? And how big a brooder do I need for 12 chicks. Thanks
