    Are you sure that the rooster is not causing the bare spots on their backs. I have had that issue a few times.

    Day 17; Power Outage, eggs got cold :(

    I always keep some hand warmers from Walmart on hand. If you open a couple and shake them up and put them in with the eggs it does a good job of bringing up temps. Lost power in February and it was 15 degrees out. The warmers got me through about 7 hours.

    Just an update on Gabbard farms. Because I had such poor hatch rates with my Hulseys, Julie at Gabbards farms sent me another 14 eggs for only the cost of shipping. They are hatching this morning and it looks like Im gonna get about 11 out of 14. There are no guarantees with hatching eggs but...

    Pumpkins in the bator

    Pumpkins are all starting to pip. I can here them all peeping. I cant wait to get this flock of birds started.
