Has anyone ever crossed the Buff to a Golden? I was wondering how they would be for meat birds. I was hoping the Buff would put some size to them. I just hatched out 6 from this cross hoping to use them as a meat bird.

My Golden Comets have just started laying so the eggs are still small. However, I have one New Hampshire red that is 2 years old. She's pretty reliable to produce an egg a day. Can I just collect one egg a day from her until I get 6 eggs to incubate. If I am understanding right they don't start...

I just wormed her 3 days ago. I thought maybe that could be the reason for no eggs. If by chance it was, how long after worming would the usually start laying again.

We had a dog attack and she lost her friends. Since then we have replaced them and the are all getting along good. I wormed them all 3days ago.

How long did she go before laying? I am kinda in the same situation. It's been about 6 weeks since she had an egg.

Still no eggs. It's not a great picture but I think you can tell the color of her comb. Do you think it's red enough so she should be laying eggs? She used to squat when I got next to her but she doesn't do that now.
