    Just picked up my chicks. Only two survived :(

    We picked up our chicks at the post office this morning, one of ours died too :( we had 15/16 survive. I would contact the seller if I were u! Good luck with the other 2!

    First time incubating! All advice is greatly appreciated!!

    I have one inside with the eggs. It tells temp and humidity. But the instructions said temp should be 99.5 to 100 degrees F. Some things I've read say that's too low, that the chicks will develop too slowly. What do u think? My temp has been 100.5 and 63% humidity. Is that good? Too low? Too...

    I set 14 eggs in my bator this morning at 5:30!!! I'm SUPER nervous! I ordered 9 Lavender Orphington eggs and 5 Olive Egger eggs and I let them settle a few days. This is my first hatch ever! I always buy babies. I would appreciate all advice about incubating!! Thanks! Dana

    What's the difference?

    Thanks! I got confused when I googled "Light Sussex" and the exact image that was used as the breed photo of Columbian Wyandotte on the hatchery website came up. So I started looking and they are very similar just looking at the pictures! Thank you!

    I have ordered some new chicks, to be delivered. One thing I'm a little confused about is when I look at photos of Columbian Wyandottes (which I ordered) they look very simular to Light Sussex. What is the differance? Or are they the same? Thanks in advance!

    I feed my hens the eggs shells. I rinse them, remove the membrane, and let them air dry. I've not had a problem.

    He was put to sleep this afternoon. We don't have a vet locally that specializes in birds, he laid down last night and couldn't get up this morning. And his comb was starting to turn dull/grayish. Poor guy
