Hi, from the Shelton/ Monroe area. Anyone have any left over chicks from the spring? I can't take chicks so I'm looking for some about 5-7 months old or older as look as they're still egg laying. Currently have 5 batnams and 2 full sized
HI everyone I need some advice,
I have a polish crested who I bought who didn't have any feathers due to plucking from previous flock. Then once I brought her home the same thing happened to her within my coop if girls and almost everyday she had a bloody head.
I used EVERYTHING from Vaseline...
I currently have three roosters all are about 4 months old that I'm looking to trade for soon to be, or currently egg laying hens. Preferably under a year old.
They are family pets! We want to see them go to a loving home.
1 we think is a Buff Orphington named Daniel, and 2 Barred rock mixes...
okay so I have this bantam hen it is in the coop with 3 others one who is her own size and 2 Rhode Island cross. I moved them in with the others last fall and they have been great ever since no behavior problems whatsoever then all the sudden about 2 months ago she started hiding in the coop and...
I am getting some baby chicks on Saturday and when I previous had chicks I used a clear heat bulb and then switched to a red heat bulb. I broke my red heat bulb and I was wondering if it really mattered whether I used red or clear??
I heard that Red lamp makes them less aggressive but I never...
This is Sunny, we are thinking that this might be a Roo but not 100% sure, Maybe a silkie Mix
This is Pebbles, we are pretty sure this is a hen. That is more of a seabright mix
This is Mocha, we are pretty sure that she is a hen, that is also a silkie mix
Hi guys!
So my 2 month old Silkie Mix I noticed about a week ago was favoring her left size. I noticed that her toes were pointing out to the left, away from her body. I also noticed that it feels like she has a bump or deformity on her left hip area.
over the past couple of days it seems...
You know the drill......I think my bottom 2 or cochin silkie crosses and I'm not sure about the top ones.
And I think they are all hens but I am not sure....
They are all 1 month old
Thanks :)
Thanks guys!!
Do you have any idea what breeds they might be as well?
I know that they are bantams. I am thinking our two biggest ones are Silkie crosses but I am not sure on our little one.
So I have 3 little babies that are about a month old each and I am trying to see if they're any clear signs if they are hens or roosters so I figured I would start here!!
This is Mocha and Sunny
and this is little Pebbles
Thanks guys!!! :)
Okay so I posted a couple of days ago that I had a woobly chick who was so unbalanced and the more I read about it I think that she might have Mareks or Rickets but I have no clue..the chick is only about 3 weeks old...
She is much better than she was, she has put on some more weight and has...
she is actually doing a little better we've just been feeding her electrolytes and the probiotics she can finally stand up on her own those she still very wobbly when she walks. She also twitches her head a lot too which makes us think it's more of a neurological problem caused by a deficient in...
