    I have 2 bantum chickens. they have stopped laying for about a month. the do not leave the nest. If I take them outside they run back in the coop and get in the nest. will this stop on its own? Is it because of winter and the cold? don't know what to do.

    my injured chicken, mama, has her back slashed open and I think a broken leg from we are thinking coyotes last nite, I put her in a dog crate inside the coop. she is nervous so i wanted her to calm down first. any suggestions? thanks
