    Power just went out. I have 4 ducklings and 1 chick all 4 days old and 1 in the incubator, pipped but nothing else what can I do ? I don't want to lose them now. How do I keep them warm ?

    I have a first time broody hen. The chick just hatched. The hen peeked at it and left the coop. Now she goes in and pecks at the chicks. It's still wet by itself in the coop Do intervene and take the chick?? Do I leave it be. I'm worried the other hens will kill it. I have never see this happen

    Well she has a new name "low rider" thanks to my husband. But she's doing good. No squishy belly. Laying double yolkers every other day. Only walks like a penguin intermittently.

    Well the LARGE egg is from this morning. She is better. I would be too after laying that. This would be her 6th double yolker. I'm hoping she evens out. I guess this is what her problem has been.

    That was a big scare That was a younger less mature hen. Phew!! She does seem a bit better. She as walking almost normal but the longer she walked then she started waddling. She's in the bath now and I'm making her tums flavored eggs. (Yum)
