What is considered a rare Indian Runner color? Or are all the colors pretty much the same in terms of rarity? Thanks!

What exactly does penciled refer to? I have seen pictures of penciled runners that look like fawn and white runners, so I am a little confused on the terminology. Thanks for the help!

What color is this little duckling? She is currently 2 weeks old and I don't know what she will look like when she is grown up- maybe blue and white? She is too dark for the typical fawn and white (I think). What do you think? She has a big personality!

Have you ever had one turn really gray? Here is a picture of another egg that has all of one side discolored. Is this also a dark duckling or a bad egg? Thanks

is my duck egg alive? Day 25 Incubation

I just put my duck eggs in lockdown 2 days ago. One egg has developed a blue/gray coloration on the shell where the air sac is. Have any of you experienced that before? Is the duckling dead? One other egg has a small blue dot on the side. They were completely white at lockdown day 1. The temp...

No, I have not changed my name. The other user has also experienced losses. But we are separate.

I have looked all over the area and in the neighbors yards. No signs. Hopefully she returns. If not, hopefully one of her eggs hatch to continue her legacy!

Well hopefully I get at least a few ducklings hatched from my first incubation. The mom in the picture, Tikki, disappeared last night . I can't find any clues as to where she went. It doesn't look like there was a fight or anything, so I think she managed to clear the fence and couldn't...

So exciting!! Do they stay the same color as they are at hatch? I only ask because I had a muscovy duckling that changed colors a few times before she was an adult. I never have had experience with runners though. It would be nice to know what color they are right at hatch .

I have read a few forum threads on incubating but I have not checked out the stickies. Thanks for the idea! I will definitely look into it.

I just set my first ever batch of eggs in my first ever incubator (gatorbator). It is quite an exciting time. Now to wait... Mom is a buff and dad is a runner:
