Update:
Well the chicks are 10 days old and growing like weeds. Still have 21 chicks, have not suffered any losses as of yet. I put electrolytes, A C V, and a couple of times I added some liquid vitamin B to their water. Now I just put A C V in their water daily and electrolytes once a week...

Another update:
When I got home from work this morning the one I was going to assist had died over night. The one that had the tiny pip that didn't do anything all day yesterday hatch out during the night. The three that didn't pip at all I candled and they had died. So I ended up with 21 chicks...

As it stands right now out of 26 eggs put in lock down 20 have hatched . Three didn't pip at all,and it looks like another one died during the zip process. I have one that has a tiny pip in it, but has made no progress all day long.
The final one has a hole in it about a little bigger than a...

I've got to get to bed as I have two more nights to work this week. I don't know how I'm going to sleep wondering whats going on in the incubator. After you baby sit the eggs & incubator for three weeks it's hard not to get excited when they finally hatch. lol
Before I hit submit I just went to...
When I got home from work this morning at 7:30 AM I had two chicks hatched out . Now about an hour and twenty minutes later there is a total of six out, and another one zipping. There's only 2 or 3 that haven't pipped out of the twenty six eggs. But its hard to tell now because the chicks are...

Put the incubator into lock down yesterday. The four eggs I was concerned with kept on developing and caught up with the rest. I can't believe the change in just 3 1/2 days, they grow at such a fast rate. So I'm still at 26 eggs and the air cells look good. I've kept the humidity at 30 % - 35 %...

Hello all Candled my remaining 26 eggs this morning day 14 1/2. For the most part they all looked good the air cells were right on target. I do have a slight question on four of them, but will let them remain until day 18 and reevaluate. I was very worried last night with extremely high winds...

Hello Everyone
I candled the 30 Australorp eggs I set on the 24th. I had two that were infertile and two that had died. So still have 26 in the Incubator chugging along. I traced all the air cells. They look like their right where they should be for 7 days. I did not have one single detached...
Opened up the incubator for the first time this morning to candle the eggs and trace the air cells. So far out of 30 eggs I had two that were infertile and two that had died. Twenty-six still in the game. The air cells are right on the mark for 7 days, and not one funky or detached cell. That's...
I would like to join in if it's not to late. I set 30 Australorp eggs on March 24th. These eggs are shipped eggs from Meyer Hatchery. I ordered 24, when I opened the box there was 35 , Surprise ! Last year I set 21 eggs from them and had 15 hatch out. This is only my second time at incubating...
Sorry didn't realize you were talking about a double yoke one. It happens, but very rarely do both survive. So don't get your hopes up to much, but I wish you the best of luck and will keep my fingers crossed for you.
NO!
I wouldn't do anything. If the shell has a pip in it, they are breathing air from the outside and resting.Just make sure your humidity is at the proper level for lock down and resist opining up the incubator unless its a dire emergency. Its better to wait and do nothing than to start poking...
