For energy, feed it sugar water. If it wont take it, dunk the of its bill under water. If it still wont take the water, put a bead of the water on top of its beak. When the water bead runs down its beak, it will probably annoy it and it will drink the water bead. Good luck!!!

Get an ace bandage and lightly wrap it around the little duckling. This will help her absorb the sack without hurting her. Hang in there, little duckling!!!

Like everyone said, it is too late to imprint, but she can still love you! Also, don't pick her up. Usually after time they will hop up on your lap themselves. My ducks dont like Handling and crowding. They like to do things on their own terms. Hope this helps! Have fun!

You're right! By the looks of things, they are blue runners. We have a couple of female blue runners and they look like your ducks. :) have fun! Runners are really exciting and unique!

Just in case, keep them away from your dog. If you used scented soap like Dawn or something, he may have smelled it and thought that it was food. My dog has an odd fascination with our baby runners and we don't know if it has to do with mama instincts. He may have licked them like licking a baby...

We finally named our little ducklings! The eldest is Sushi because he came out too early and raw, like sushi! Next is Pop...there's not much more to say :) Lastly, there is lil Odie.(OD) He is such a cuddle bunny and he came out Over Done
