Day old Pita Pinta's?
This is my first post to this thread. I had a single chick hatch Sunday and I have been interested in Pita Pinta's so my Hail Mary is to ask if anyone might have very young, or due very soon, babies. I have another hatch due next Tuesday and I hope the outcome is better but...

Thank you all for taking a look! I looked at the American Gamefowl thread and I see what you mean.
I cycle the parkway every other day so I think I will take a baggie of feed to scatter around. He seems to be doing fine on his own though!
Maybe I will find some Game Girls to give him:)
He is tiny, perhaps 2 lbs? His crow is pretty unique but I didn't record it. He has been living on his own in the wild for over a year I think. We have lot's of coyotes, feral cats, etc. so he's doing something right. He walked to within 10 feet of me. Any breed guesses or just a barnyard mix...
Chooks4life - you are a dream come true! Nutrition is a very high priority for me but I have no formal education in it and it sounds like you do. Or certainly a wealth of experience.
I first got my Swedish Flower Hens (first chickens ever) this summer and I am feeding a highly recommended (by...

Thank you Chooks4life. I will look into the potential thyroid issue. I was hoping to get more feedback in case this is a health problem I need to know about so I appreciate your comment. We'll know soon about sex, either way:)
Sadly the two on the left are 8 week old boys. It's just a bad phone pic. I'm not allowed to have roos. But I'm making plans to keep them. Blackout shutters on the coop, rooster collars, egg bribes to the neighbors, whatever it takes because I adore them both.
This is so sad, I'm sorry you lost your Vivian. But it's so completely not your fault. First you're human, and second it sounds like she went missing before your big girls came in. But I too feel responsible and guilty for every **** thing and I know how you must feel and I'm sorry for that.
