Hi, thanks for visiting. Click on any image for a closer look at our chicks. J.L.
These are the chicks I received for Mother's Day. The 4 yellow chicks are Rhode Island Reds, and I got those as 4 or 5 day olds on May 9, 2009
The black chicks are Barred Rocks, and were born one week later...
I agree! I had my husband skip the last lawn mowing, too. The chickens just love to eat grass. He mowed the front yard, and left the back alone (it's not even long) Let them enjoy their salad (until the snow comes anyway!)
Hi,
I am looking to buy a waterer for my chickens. I would like one that is solar-powered, but am guessing that doesn't exist. Is their such a thing as a battery powered waterer? I don't need it to be an automatic waterer hooked up to a water supply, just something to keep it warm enough in...

Marhaban!
Wow, your chickens are cool. I wonder if I would get that skinny if I move to such a hot place!
They look great; well adapted to your climate!
Jamelle

This is a very good point, walking wolf. I would also be careful if the friend drinks the food coloring. My son has a sensativity to food coloring, and if he drank as much as your husband put in that bottle it would be bad.
Maybe she could sell that tatoo she got.
(Seriously, don't loan her the money.)
((And don't feel guilty that you are going on vacation in January. You saved up for it, and you don't need to defend yourself to anyone)
