    I have various full size hens and accidently ended up with a banty rooster.     6 from 6...my ladies love me. Cold weather is just starting so it might drop....2 from 2 on the ducks....hens and duck are pretty consistant so all the nieghbors get free eggs.

    It's beutiful and I have one question.....Do the chickens use all of the cubbies for laying.?? I have 8 ladies and my coop has nine cubbies but they all lay thier eggs in one cubbie, sometimes two if I miss a day picking them up. I have no rooster so there is no need for them to hatch them.

    I put 2 male ducks in with my 8 chickens and the ducks constantly harrassed the ducks so they stopped laying and the ducks eventually killed 2 of the hens. I then trie female ducks and everyone gets along but the ducks added alot of work to the operation due to thier mess.

    Well, thanks and thanks...now I don't feel so bad about them out there. I feared I would go out some morning to find chicken-sickles. I have 6 girls and they each faithfully give an egg a day but Jane, Jean, Karla, Barbara, Erika and Britteny are really just funny looking pets.
