Finished planting my fig orchard today. All of them are clones from my neighbors tree. 12 plants in all.

Just harvested my fist green peas. Didn't pulverize the soil once. Looks like better production so far.

80% ain't bad. I will have to nick mine from now on. But fight now I still have hibiscus in pots looking for a home.

I did some weeding on the okra and pushed the mulch back. Then it started raining. We need the rain. So it was a good day.

Thank you. Been getting after it. My broccoli is just being to head and everything is coming up so far.

I had to put a fence around the garden to keep the rabbits at bay. It doesn't do much for the squirrels however.

I am hoping your hibiscus come up too. I never nicked my seeds. But I still have hundreds. I nick gourd seeds but never hibiscus. Please tell me how they do. As far as fire ants go I get them pine straw or no pine straw. But I don't find fire ants in the woods where I gather the straw.

I sure hope not! I have mine fenced and rotate on three pastures. In the fourth one I am growing some corn. When I get the ears the goats will get the rest. The pea vines and stuff I will just throw over the fence. I gave them a bunch of honeysuckle and privet today. I cleared out a place and...

I got a pickup load of manure once from my uncle. I double dug it in and spread the rest around the perimeter of the garden. It worked great and the smell kept the rabbits out. My okra grew so high we had to pull them down to harvest they were so tall.

Green peas, crowder peas, purple hull peas, pole beans, okra, corn, broccoli, cabbage, sweet potato, sunflower, Christmas Lima beans, and soon...watermelon. I am also planting a small fig orchard and numerous flowers.I forgot tomatoes, and bell peppers. Oh ya...potatoes.

No problem. I got another load of pine straw today. You can never have too much mulch. And I also started planting my small fig orchard. I think I have about 11 fig cuttings a year old and ready to go. Of course I will mulch them too.

I planted a vine last year and it died from lack of water.

The tomatoes are a little bigger now. I have gone to no dig no till...and it seems to be working.
