    SAND OR SHAVINGS???

When I first bring my chicks home, I put newspaper down and paper towels. Chicks will peck at everything. About two weeks or so I put in pine bedding from TSC, the bigger (flaked) bedding. I still keep a paper towel under the feeder so they can peck at the feed that falls around it. I...

is this stealing? should i put free range hen into my coop?

If you kept her you would have to keep her in a seperate area because other hens would go after her and the chicks once they hatched....quarantine....1) So that would take care of the first concern of yours. 2) You would have to get her at night, she wouldn't try to get away. 3) They don't...

I have used vanilla air fresheners....they do work. I just hang them inside the coops. I'm not sure about the mister..is it in the run that connects the two coops? If the flies are in the coop...try the fresheners.

is this stealing? should i put free range hen into my coop?

I say keep her and the chicks. If they really cared about her they would of come looking for her. I guess they don't care and didn't come looking for her if she has been sitting on the eggs a week now. She can be killed anytime being out in the open, unprotected. If they don't even have a...
