She's kicking them out the nest because they are rotten, I don't know how she knows but she does :') Mine kicked out 2, I was upset when she did it but I cracked them open and they were rotten and smelt really bad. If they're not fertile, she'll kick them out too to prevent bacterial growth...

    Broody Runner Duck

Hi! So our other 3 are now housed in the garage at night so mama Ducks had the house to themselves. We currently have 3 ducklings! Only 2 due now! They are so cute! Both ducks appear to be working together, seem quite happy and there isn't any conflict so I'd say, so far so good!

Hi! I'm in the exact same situation! I have 1 drake and 4 hens! Two of my hens were sharing a nest of 5 eggs and this morning, A LITTLE BABY HAD APPEARED! I only allowed 6 eggs for my girls and took the others away when they went for a leg stretch as didn't want to end up with too many...

    Broody Runner Duck

Heya, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a few questions regarding a broody Indian Runner. My 11 month old runner (Buggy, her name is) has been broody for a week now. She is sitting on a clutch of 7 and appears to be a very good mummy, only leaving the nest, 2/3 times a day. I also...
