All mine, meeva, Vader, qwerty are females. Just had one if their eggs hatch this morning - crossed with a frizzle cochin :-)

New baby hatched today! Momma is pure silkie,(white or black) and dad is cochin frizzle either mottled black or mille fluer color. So excited!

Well it matters to me. I like to be able to say he or she when referring to a bird, roosters don't lay eggs and my silkie rooster is the nastiest one out of the 15 that I have.

What are your thoughts on these three? I have no idea on what they are, I'm thinking EE. They were sold to me as ameracaunawhich I know they are not. I'm Thinking Angel and Goldie may be pullets, and freckles a roo??

The bottom picture looks like a roo and the the 3rd from the bottom looks like a hen to me. They seem to be close in age to mine, so I'd guess 12-14 weeks

Thoughts?

Update:: still not sure on some genders here but it sure is fun to watch them grow. here are updates on Sandy, art and Owl, Art I'm sure is a Cockerel but I'm still not sure on Sandy, just wanted to post for comparison :-)

Well this is a specialty auction "odd and unusual" so I guess I really didn't think it through. But I will definitely be employing that tactic in the future. Hopefully I can manage to kep 1 or 2. We will see how they feather out and temperments etc. Maybe I'll luck out with a ouple of...

Yeah I was afraid of that. I think somebody culled the their hatches of what they suspected were male. I never thought they would all be male when I bought them :-( no way I can keep 7 roosters lol
