My BROODER set up paint tray with mettle liner so duck water doesn't spill in to pine shavings. Thermometer in the middle other half is in my room so I know what the BROODER temp is. I also have an extra storage tote when I'm cleaning the brooder I can set the other one up and keep the ducklings...
When I got home last night there was one more duckling. It was a bit slower then the others and was getting left behind we put them all in the coop last night and woke up to it dead... it looked like the mom had killed it :-( really sad today not sure if ill want to do this again.

I have a 1 rooster, 5 duck hens, and 2 drakes... as of now there getting along really well they hang out together all day long and Sherbet my rooster watches over them and crows whenever he hears anything. My rooster and one of my drakes is about 9 months old and all the rest are 11 months...

My rooster started mating my ducks he chases one down jumps on them my drake runs over and hold her head down to help i think but the females don't seem to be fazed they just flap there wings after and go on with there buisness
