    I purchased 6 chicks 9 days ago, 2 Black Copper Marans, 2 Anconas and 2 Olive Eggers. The Olive Eggers are very slow to feather out...no tail feathers at all ... compared to the others. Is this because they're muts or do have 2 males? Were all sexed at hatchery as pullets...fingers crossed!

    This is my 1st broody hen. She is on day 19. I have her separated from flock, but she's in a large, deep basket. The babies will nof be able to get in and out. Should I move her and eggs to a different basket now before they hatch?

    Should I see chick movement when canlding eggs at 7 days? They are light brown eggs. I can see dark areas. Never done.this before, but they don't look loke any videos I've seen.
